Why isn’t Trump on the cover?

Since you could not bear to put President Elect Trump on your front page when he won the election, which makes sense since he loves his country, I will assume you will continue that planned over site when, 4 years from now, J D Vance is elected President. As explained to me, your newspaper is basically political. As Torah teaches, love thy neighbor. Just do not look in the mirror.

On the IHRA and Harvard

Harvard recently agreed to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Association’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism. Almost immediately, Jay Ulfelder, the program director of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Nonviolent Action Lab, publicly resigned, stating “In Gaza, I am witnessing one of the worst humanitarian and human-rights catastrophes in my 55-year lifetime. My employer, … will not allow me or my colleagues or its own students to speak freely about these things.”

Yet, during Dr. Ulfelder’s 55 years the following atrocities have occurred:

Pol Pot’s “Killing Fields” during which 1.5 – 2 million Cambodians were massacred

Serbia’s massacre of over 200,000 Muslim civilians, mostly in Bosnia

China’s ongoing crimes against the Uyghurs which includes forced sterilization, imprisonment of over 1 million people

Sudan’s Darfur genocide of about 400,000 people that continues to this day.

Hutu’s massacre of 800,000 Tutsis

Saddam Hussein’s Anfal Campaign in which he killed 50,000 – 100,000 Kurds

The Assads’ massacre of 300,000 – 600,000 Syrians, some by use of chemical weapons

SIS’ murder, rape and kidnapping of Yazidi

Myanmar’s violent campaign of murder, rape and beatings of the Rohingya

Russia’s ongoing, unprovoked, imperialist invasion of Ukraine during which they have targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure

Since Dr. Ulfelder is an expert on humanitarian and human-rights catastrophes his mischaracterization of events in Gaza can only be attributed to malice. His departure from Harvard demonstrates the value of adopting the IHRA definition and is a small step toward restoring Veritas at this once great institution.
