Zadies Bake Shop to celebrate reopening
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Zadies Bake Shop will be held Tuesday, May 26, at 4 p.m. by the Fair Lawn Chamber of Commerce.
Two years ago, a fire devastated the kosher bakery after 20 years on Fair Lawn Avenue. Now, Zadies is opening in a new and larger Fair Lawn location, at 2150 Promenade Boulevard. Local dignitaries will join in the celebration.
Larry Steinberg (who took over the bakery at 25 after his father, Abe, was killed in a tragic car accident) died earlier this month at 74.
