Temple Beth Tikvah in Wayne hosted an interfaith concert sponsored by the synagogue, its Rabbi Israel Dresner Center for Collaborative Programs and Learning, Inc., chaired by Arthur Barchenko, and the Jewish Historical Society of Northern New Jersey, chaired by Joy Kurland. It featured the Tavim a capella choir of Congregation Beth Sholom in Teaneck, under direction of Rabbi Louis Polisson, and the combined choirs of the First AME Zion Church of Paterson, led by Skip Van Rensalier, its music minister. Arthur Barchenko received a plaque from Reverend Doctor CommDouglas Maven of AME Zion Church for his work in creating community outreach.
