On March 5, more than a dozen members of Temple Sinai of Bergen County in Tenafly packed more than 500 packages of hamantaschen. The treats were destined for the congregation, staff, religious school staff, and Early Childhood Center staff; 50 bags were earmarked for Meals on Wheels through JFCS. On Feb. 6, 500 shalach manot bags were packed for the same groups. The activity was coordinated by Tammy Hecht, the synagogue’s member services coordinator. Synagogues members made donations to pay for the shalach manot.
