Rutgers historian to discuss his book on WWII
Jochen Hellbeck will present groundbreaking insights on the roots of Nazi violence at a free public lecture about his new book “World Enemy No. 1: Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, and the Fate of the Jews.” It’s set for Monday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m., at the Douglass Student Center in New Brunswick.
Mr. Hellbeck, a distinguished professor of history at Rutgers University, moves beyond conventional narratives and relocates the ideological core of World War II. The book is a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award in the history category.
The talk is the Toby and Herbert Stolzer Annual Lecture, sponsored by the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers. Advance registration is required at BildnerCenter.Rutgers.edu. Free campus parking is available.
