Outdoor concert in Englewood
Singer Lois Bruno presents “The Jewish-American Songbook” on Sunday, June 1, at 7 p.m., on the Englewood Library’s front plaza and lawn. Bring a chair and/or blanket. The concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Englewood Library.
The evening will feature songs by Jewish-American composers, in genres ranging from Broadway to pop, including George Gershwin, Bob Dhadylan, Billy Joel, and Carole King. Ms. Bruno has a long, successful career and has sung with many notable musicians. Early in her career, she caught the ear of DJ superstar, Casey Kasem, who introduced her to Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss of A&M Records.
Register at englewoodlibrary.org. If it rains, the concert will move indoors.
