Norpac hears Congressman Mast
Last week, Rochelle and Phil Goldschmiedt hosted a Norpac pro-Israel meeting with Congressman Brian Mast (R-Fla.) at their Teaneck home.
Brian Mast represents Florida’s 18th Congressional District, which ranges from the northern portion of Palm Beach County through Martin and St. Lucie counties. Before being elected to Congress, Mr. Mast, a double amputee, spent 12 years in the U.S. Army, including the elite Joint Special Operations Command, and he volunteered alongside the IDF in Israel. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Defense Meritorious Service medals, along with the Army Commendation Medal for Valor.
Earlier this year, Mr. Mast collaborated with Representative Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) to introduce the bipartisan “Deterring and Defeating Rocket and Missile Threats to Israel Act.” It is a bill that would allow more funds, beyond the $500 million a year that now goes to Israel, for defense against missile attacks.
He is seeking re-election.
