Matzah baking and more in Fair Lawn
Bris Avrohom’s new Jewish Education Center in Fair Lawn hosted a pre-Passover program. As an annual tradition, children at CETT Hebrew school, under the direction of Rabbi Mendel and Elke Zaltzman, received Israeli shmurah matzahs before Pesach, and so did their parents.
Elected officials, including Bergen County Commissioners Mary Amoroso, Dr. Joan Voss, Germaine Ortiz, and Tracy Silna Zur; Assemblywoman Lisa Swain; Sheriff Anthony Cureton; County Executive James Tedesco, and Fair Lawn Mayor Cristina Cutrone were there, and so were Bris Avrohom board members.
There was an area where the children, parents, and staff rolled dough and had a hands-on lesson on how matzahs are made.
