Matan celebration honors three

Matan held its annual celebration last month at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. The party, with more than 140 attendees, honored Pam Schuller, Liane Carter, and Ed Asner for their perseverance, advocacy, and support of ensuring all children and all learners are able to access a Jewish education.
Actor Richard Kind introduced his friend, fellow actor, Ed Asner.
Matan is a national organization that educates Jewish leaders, educators and communities, empowering them to create learning environments supportive of children with special needs, through training Institutes and consultations. Its executive director, Dori Frumin Kirshner, lives in Closter.
