Trump is good for Israel

It is amazing to me that Democrat Jews like Engelmayer, Skopp and Nelson remain wedded to the Democrat Party while a majority of Democrat voters hold anti-Israel views. In an October 2024 AP poll 57% of Democrats blamed the Israeli government for the current Mideast War versus just 26% of Republicans. This same sentiment has been around for more than a decade, yet a majority of Jews continue to vote with people who are ok with their annihilation.

Luckily, Jewish voters moved solidly towards Republicans this year based on various surveys. An AP/Fox poll found 66% of US Jews voted for Harris which is the lowest total for Democrats since 1988. The survey Rabbi Engelmayer cited, that showed 79% of Jews voting for Harris, only covered 10 states and did not include New York and California rendering it useless.

My own daughter, voting for the first time, voted for Trump after seeing the hate-filled protests on her college campus. She, and many of her friends, realized that all of these protestors were Democrats and they chose self-preservation.

Just last week, 88 Democrat Senators and Congresspeople publicized a letter that called for the sanctioning of members of the Israeli government. Meanwhile, President-elect Trump said that he would cancel all weapons delays to Israel that the Biden administration has in place. The contrast could not be clearer, but Democrat Jews choose to ‘sit shiva’ when they should be celebrating.
