Lauds columnist - The Jewish Standard

Kudos to Rabbi Shammai Engelmayer regarding his June 25 column “Out of hubris comes contempt.” His words of wisdom concerning Askenazic arrogance and denigration of the Sephardim and Mizrahim are long overdue. Thank you for recognizing and publicizing the religious achievements of these two groups, not to mention their secular triumphs throughout Jewish history. To quote his last paragraph -“We as a people have come a long way in 3,500 years. How sacrilegious it is that after all that time, we still have not figured out how to make the journey together.” Todah rabah y caminos buerjos!
