The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly will host its sixth annual all-level yoga class on Sunday, June 10, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Held on the expansive JCC camp field, the free 75-minute outdoor class will be led by inspirational yoga instructors Alison Miller, Robert Hoon, Zasha Delvalle, and Justeen Nason. People of all ages and levels are encouraged to attend.
“Yoga promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and clears the mind,” says Hagit Tal, the JCC’s group exercise director. “The benefits are enormous, and as health professionals at the JCC, we are so proud to offer important health-focused community events like this several times a year. They bring our community together in a private, peaceful, spa-like setting for amazing experiences. Our ongoing hope is to encourage everyone in our community to engage in healthful activities and to educate them about all the incredible fitness options open to them.”
Participants should bring a mat, towel, water bottle, and sun screen and be prepared to stretch out. If the weather is bad, the class will be held in the JCC Taub Gym. Raffles will be available for health and wellness prizes, including a three-month membership to the JCC. For more information, call Hagit Tal at (201) 408-1477 or go to jccotp.org.
