The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey hosted a luncheon last week with Timothy Torell, JFNNJ’s director of Jewish community security, and the 12 law enforcement executives from JFNNJ’s catchment area who joined federation on an informative trip to Israel this summer.

The group met with government officials, community leaders, and citizens. There is a special bond between Israel and Northern New Jersey, and the delegation now has a better understanding of that close relationship and the issues important to the Jewish community.

At the luncheon, members of the delegation presented Jason Shames, the federation’s CEO, with a shadowbox with official police agency patches to commemorate the trip.
