Dr. Eric Goldman presents the “American Jewish Story through Cinema” on Sunday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m., at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly.

Through film clips from movies including “Hill 24 Doesn’t Answer,” “Late Summer Blues,” “Lemon Tree,” and “The Wedding Plan,” he will examine the changing nature of Israeli society as reflected through its films. The event  is in partnership with New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

An occasional film critic for the Jewish Standard, he has been a co-host on “Turner Classic Movies,” and is writing a book on Israeli cinema. For information, call (201) 569-7900 or go to jccotp.org/films.
