Remember the case of Lil’ Adolf Hitler Campbell, the 3-year-old boy who just wanted a birthday cake? Scroll down a few entries (to before Gaza) to read the tale that first brought him national attention.
As you may recall, his parents were refused at a Pennsylvania ShopRite when they tried to buy a birthday cake that read, “Happy birthday, Adolf Hitler.” The parents claimed the store was intolerant. Their other two children are named JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell
ABC in southern Jersey, where the family resides, reported that the children have been removed from their parents’ home.
No word on why the children were removed and social services are refusing comment. The Big Lipowsky surmises that somebody decided to step in before these three children are completely brainwashed into becoming hatemongers. However, that raises free speech issues and, while I abhor what the Campbells stand for, they are within their rights to be idiotic bigots as long as they don’t hurt anybody else.
One could argue that giving the children those names constitutes child abuse since the children would face ridicule and other obstacles, such as the birthday cake. That’s a little easier to swallow.
No matter the reason, one hopes that these children will be placed within a loving environment with new names that do not evoke thoughts of one of history’s most diabolical monsters.
