Cabaret night at Beth Rishon is planned March 17 in Wyckoff
Temple Beth Rishon holds Café Beth Rishon, a cabaret evening, on Saturday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the synagogue. It is an eclectic musical venue that offers classical music, selections from the Broadway stage, contemporary compositions, jazz, opera, classic rock, American folk, Israeli and Yiddish folk songs, and a special dance performance.
Performers include the shul’s talented members — singers Gale Bindelglass, Olivia Fornasieri, Adam Fox, Richard Greenberg, Amy Shey Jacobs, Mark Kantrowitz, Robin Kantrowitz, Jane Koch, Noah Leibowitz, Cantor Ilan Mamber, Naomi Rogin, Jamie Roitman, and Stephanie Rosenblum, and a special guest appearance by Cantor Mark Biddelman, cantor emeritus of Temple Emanuel of Pascack Valley. Piano accompaniment is by Judy Kessler, guitar accompaniment by Cantor Mamber, and Rick Cohen will be on drums. Other performers include violinist Sylvia Rubin, clarinetist Jacob Niederman, trumpeter Len Stern, and guitarist Andrew Mester. The Syncopated Seniors Tap Dance Troupe will perform.
