Bergen County marks Israel’s Day of Remembrance
Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners marked Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Day of Remembrance, on May 13 at the Bergen County administration building in Hackensack. Participants included Jason Shames, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey; Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton; Bergen County Commissioner Tracy Zur; Rabbi Mendy Kaminker of Chabad of Hackensack, and Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco. The program commemorated the soldiers and others who have lost their lives during the struggle to defend the State of Israel.
