BCHSJS students give back to New Orleans storm victims
Last month, students at the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies partnered with NCSY for a tikkun olam trip to New Orleans. They worked with Habitat for Humanity to help with the ongoing task of rebuilding neighborhoods destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Their work included painting trim, raking yards, and installing energy-efficient light bulbs through Project Green Light. The students also toured the French Quarter and went to a jazz concert.
