Earlier this year we reported the story of a group of New Jersey seniors who gave support, advice, and harmonies to local singer Jax, a finalist on American Idol.

After interacting with the seniors over social media, Jax, who is Jewish, paid the residents a visit, showing up at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, meeting her fans, singing and getting serenaded in Yiddish.

One of those seniors was Claire Lind, who escaped from pre-war Germany as a child. Ms. Lind often talked about how she had wanted to be a singer before the Nazis turned her life into chaos. As part of the “Senior Jax Pack” Claire recorded videos to mentor Jax, starting with advice…
