A delegation of 14 students who participated in a yearlong Young Leadership course sponsored by Partnership2Gether of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, and hosted at the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies, just returned home from a weeklong mission to Israel.

The students met their Young Leadership counterparts from their sister city of Nahariya; the Israelis hosted the travelers from New Jersey in their homes. Together, the Americans and Israelis toured Tel Aviv, visiting Israel’s Independence Hall, the Michael Levin Lone Soldiers Center, and the Carmel Market. They went to northern Israel, visiting Rosh Hanikra, the Lebanon border, the city of Acco, and the Golan Heights. The students also went together to the Israelis’ high schools to learn about going to school in Israel. The group spent its last day in Jerusalem, visiting Ammunition Hill, the Knesset, Mount Herzl, the Jewish Quarter, and the Western Wall before heading home.
