Yiddish Philharmonic chorus holds auditions in Manhattan
The Yiddish Philharmonic Chorus, directed by Binyumen Schaechter, holds tryouts on September 4, from 7 to 9 p.m., near Penn Station in midtown Manhattan.
Participants can join if they can learn a vocal line with sheet music or a recording, sing in harmony with others, and attend rehearsals on Monday nights. They don’t have to know Yiddish to sing with the chorus. For information, go to yiddishchorus.org; to schedule an audition time, email info@yiddishchorus.org.
