New Jersey Yad Leah Clothing for Israel is planning an urgent clothing drive in response to the pandemic. It’s scheduled a drive-by clothing drop on Monday, August 3, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Yeshivat He’Atid, at 1500 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck. It’s asking people to drop off clothing in excellent condition; items should be put in bags that are tied shut. Gently used linens, towels, tablecloths, handbags, backpacks, shoes, and all outerwear are also needed. The drive will have curbside drop-off, with masked volunteers unloading trunks, while donors remain in their cars.
It’s also asking for donations to cover the cost of getting the clothing to recipients in over 23 locations throughout Israel. The suggested minimum donation is $36 with sponsorship options up to $1,800. Checks should be payable to Yad Leah.
