Al Nahum, 100, a U.S. Army World War II veteran and 70-year Paramus resident, was the grand marshal of this year’s July 4 parade in Paramus. About a week before the parade, the town’s mayor, Chris DiPiazza, and its council president, Ace Antonio, visited Mr. Nahum in his home to present him with the official sash.
