Woodcliff Lake shul remembers October 7, supports a moshav in need
Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley in Woodcliff Lake hosted a conference call with Tali Nitzan and Benny Ledom, two survivors of the October 7 massacre at Moshav Netiv HaAsara. They described their harrowing experiences to members of the Pascack Valley community. Rabbi Loren Monosov, TEPV’s spiritual leader, has a personal connection to the story — Tali Nitzan is the cousin of her husband, Jeremy Monosov.
The synagogue has partnered with the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey to raise money for the displaced residents as they plan to return, rebuild, and expand their community.
Moshav Netiv HaAsara, a community bordering Gaza, was decimated on October 7. Among the casualties were two members of a high school senior class. JFNNJ is committed to assisting in trauma relief and educational support for the moshav and aims to bring the senior class to New Jersey for a week of fun and respite.
