Weapons, Jewish history and the Second Amendment

How sad it is that just a generation or two away from the Holocaust, when six million disarmed, defenseless Jews were murdered, that a Jewish newspaper would continue to advocate the disarming of law-abiding citizens. Basic research indicates that one has a far greater chance of being struck by lightning than being a victim of a multi-victim shooting such as the one perpetrated by the deranged shooter in Aurora. Even more basic research would yield knowledge that 130 million innocents have been executed by their own governments after being disarmed. Given the far higher likelihood of being a victim of genocide at the hands of one’s own government than by someone like the accused Aurora shooter, common sense also would indicate that the calls for disarming law-abiding citizens be regarded as obvious self-delusional nonsense.
