WATCH: Today I’m thinking about tomorrow
The song you're sure you've heard and loved and forgotten
Jazz pianist Tal Even-Tzur’s passion for music began at the age of eight when she first started playing her parents’ piano. Pretty soon, she discovered how much she enjoyed composing and playing her own versions of her favorite songs.
Today, Even-Tzur enjoys composing, arranging, and playing her own music as well as the music of others. She believes in taking on new challenges in order to search for one’s unique voice and to fine one’s path in music and in life.
After graduating from the music department at Ben-Zvi High School in Israel, Even-Tzur studied at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, where she had the chance to study with some of Israel’s finest musicians, such as Alon Yavnai, Rami Levin, Ilan Mochiach, Erez Barnoy, and Mamelo Orpheus Giatanopolos. In 2011, she received a scholarship to attend Berklee, where she is currently studying with some of the best musicians in the world, such as Joanne Brackeen, Alain Mallet, Nando Michelin, and Greg Osby.
