WATCH: Bill Clinton at Rabin memorial rally
"Israel must decide how to finish the last chapter of Rabin's story"
When Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin was assassinated, then-U.S. President Bill Clinton’s words “Shalom Chaver – goodbye friend – were memorable and affixed to bumper stickers across the country.
Clinton returned to Israel last night to join a rally in memory of Rabin, where he called on Israelis to write the final chapter of the fallen leader’s legacy.
“You have to share the future with your neighbors – you have to give their children a chance too,” he said, saying that the risks of peace are not as severe as the risks of passing up the opportunity for peace.
