The Bergen County section of the National Council of Jewish Women hopes to make the weekends happier for local children by providing them with goody bags packed with child-friendly, healthy snacks. At its next general meeting, members and volunteers will pack bags to be donated to the Center for Food Action. They’ll distribute them to young school children on Friday afternoons to provide nutrition on weekends. NCJW aims to pack 1,000 goody bags.

The meeting is at Temple Emeth in Teaneck, on Tuesday, January 23, at 12:30 p.m. For information on this meeting, or on NCJW BCS and its upcoming programs, go to www.ncjwbcs.org.
