Howard Veisz, a longtime volunteer at the Mystic Seaport Museum, discusses “Gerda III: Ship of Salvation,” for the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, on Zoom. The wooden workboat was built in 1926 to re-supply offshore lighthouses; it was one of the boats used to ferry Danish Jews to safety in Sweden. In 1989, an act of Danish Parliament donated the boat to the museum; it is docked at the Mystic Seaport Museum. 2 p.m. mjhnyc.org/events.
