Train to be a lifeguard
The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly is registering students for a comprehensive American Red Cross Lifeguard training course for swimmers 15 and older. Participants will learn the skills they need to work as a lifeguard this summer. The course combines online training with on-site skill sessions. When they complete the course, participants will receive a two-year ARC certificate for lifeguard training/first aid/CPR/AED.
Participants must attend a prerequisite test session on Sunday, December 17, at 2 p.m. The course runs from Tuesday to Friday, December 26 to 29, from noon to 4 p.m. The final exam is Sunday, January 7, at 2.
