Thelma Malkin

Thelma Malkin, née Schwinder, died March 11.

She was was a former member of the River Edge Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a founding member of Temple Sholom in River Edge, and was Woman of the Year for the ladies auxiliary of the Daughters of Miriam Center in Clifton.

Before retiring, she was an executive secretary, and afterward she worked for her husband’s mediation practice.

Predeceased by her siblings, Clara Haselnus (Sam) and Bernie Schwinder (Trudy), and a daughter-in-law, Sharon, she is survived by her children, Avram and Rachel Malkin (Edwin Mills); a sister, Judith Baker (Ira); two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, Hackensack.
