The offseason
After all the rain had settled, the spring sports finale was bittersweet (well, for me at least). Softball didn’t pan out as I had planned, but at least Frisch baseball won the championship.
The softball team’s offense died in the first round of the playoffs, as the Frisch varsity boys lost to Flatbush by the score of 4-1. The baseball championship, which was postponed several times due to rainstorms, was well worth the wait. The Cougars went undefeated on their road to the championship in the recently formed baseball league, which consists of games versus Yeshivas as well as public schools.
TABC’s baseball team had no such luck as they finished the season with a 2-8 record. Nor did Frisch soccer, which was eliminated by Haftr in the playoffs.

I hope all of you have enjoyed my blog for the 2008-2009 season and I look forward to continuing high school sports reporting next season – as long as I don’t get traded. Have a great offseason!
