The community respondsâ€¦ - The Jewish Standard

Allow me to express my shock and disappointment at your decision to run an announcement for a homosexual “marriage” in your Sept. 24 edition. Although the Jewish community has yet to find a solution to the pain and loneliness of those who find themselves attracted to members of their own gender, there is no such thing as marriage between anyone but a man and a woman. Publicly condoning this union, even celebrating it, as you have, does not legitimize it. I am embarrassed to have my grandchildren exposed to this biblical transgression in the pages of a paper I once respected. Just because our secular society seems to be accepting homosexuality more and more, is no excuse for us to do away with our God-given “Jewish Standard.” Shame on you.
