Auschwitz survivor Dr. Edith Eger, also known as “The Ballerina of Auschwitz,” will tell her story of survival on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. The online program is co-sponsored with Valley Chabad and the JCC of Northern NJ, with support from private donors.
Dr. Eger, 93, an award-winning author, was sent to Auschwitz at 16, where she endured horrors, including being ordered to dance for Dr. Josef Mengele, who was responsible for the death of her parents.
Dr. Eger’s New York Times best-selling memoir, “The Choice,” is a practical guide to healing, which uses her past as a powerful analogy to inspire people to reach their potential and shape their destinies.
The talk is open to the public at no cost; donations are welcome. Registration is required at eternalflame.org
