Temple Sinai of Bergen County in Tenafly marked Shabbat on December 13 with accompaniment from its Rock Shabbat Band. The group includes Rabbi Jordan Millstein, far left, and Cantor Nitza Shamah, the band’s musical leader, standing, third from right. The group sang the Shabbat prayers and two popular songs, “Get Together” by the Youngbloods to go along with the week’s Torah portion, Vayishlach, and Peter Yarrow’s “Light One Candle,” in the spirit of Chanukah.
