Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley welcomes speaker Jonny Daniels
Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley in Woodcliff Lake recently hosted Jonny Daniels, who talked about the situation in Israel to an audience of more than 200 people. The evening opened with Maariv and prayers for the hostages and the IDF.
The British-born Mr. Daniels, a former IDF member and strong advocate for Israel, answered questions about the historical and current challenges facing the country, urging community members to engage with the issues with both empathy and an informed perspective. He discussed several critical aspects of the situation in Israel, including the ongoing hostage crisis, the evolving dynamics in the West Bank, and the political implications tied to the new Trump administration’s policies. He provided a detailed analysis of how these issues influence the broader regional landscape. In addition, Daniels shared his insights and experiences regarding Israel’s complex history.
“Sunday night’s event was a powerful reminder of our commitment to fostering informed dialogue within our community,” synagogue president Reuben Twersky said. “We are reminded that understanding our past and present as a Jewish community is key to building bridges for a more united future.” For more information about Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley, go to .www.tepv.org
