Tee off with Kaplen JCC in ‘Play Fore! the Kids’
The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades will hold its 16th annual “Play Fore! the Kids” golf event at the Alpine Country Club in Demarest on August 1. The popular, sell-out day funds JCC programming for children with special needs.
It will include a day of golf, $250,000 shoot-out, hole-in-one competitions, prizes, awards, brunch, refreshments, a dinner reception, and online and live auctions. The day also will feature “Play Games Fore! the Kids,” where attendees can play tennis, bridge, mah jongg, canasta or Rummi-Q. Canasta and mah jongg lessons will be available.
“One of the JCC’s core missions is to ensure that all children with special needs in our community have access to important life experiences,” the JCC’s CEO, Jordan Shenker, said. “Our annual golf and games event is one way we succeed in this effort.”
The JCC is taking reservations for foursomes, or games, as well as for the evening festivities. A wide range of sponsorship opportunities are available.
Presenting sponsors include the Hechler family, the Kamson Corporation, and the Kurtz and Spadaccini families. Daniel Cohn, Cory Hechler, and Tracy Reichel are event chairs; Tara Jagid chairs the auctions, and Allison Hechler chairs the games committee.
