Temple Emeth in Teaneck is offering several opportunities for learning. Rabbi Steven Sirbu leads Lunch and Learn, a weekly conversation on the biblical prophets and their message of justice, on Wednesdays at noon. The textbook, “Prophetic Voices: Renewing and Reimagining Haftarah,” is being sold in the shul office; it is also available as an ebook. Bring lunch to the class; coffee is provided.

Shabbat morning Torah study is in person and on Zoom on Saturdays at 9 a.m. Coffee, tea, bagels, and schmears are served. Study concludes in time for the Shabbat service at 10:30.

A Yiddish class, on Zoom, begins on Monday, October 16.

“Stories from a Jewish Perspective” is on Tuesdays at 8 p.m., on Zoom and in person. The course is taught by participants on a rotating basis, on an array of authors and genres.
