The Jewish Federation & Foundation of Rockland County held its first “Taste of Melton” session this year. Rabbi Brian Leiken of Temple Beth Sholom in New City led the introductory session of the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.

The two-year course offers adults a comprehensive understanding of Jewish thought, practice, and history. People who didn’t go to Hebrew school when they were young — or even people who did but who want to know more — have the opportunity to go back again, for a bigger and better experience. For information, call Roberta Seitzman at (845) 362-4200, ext. 130, or email her at meltondirector@jewishrockland.org.
