More than 50 participants went to Pomona to see the New York Boulders play the Equipe Quebec team on August 8 on Jewish Heritage Night. They were on a Valley Chabad Friendship Circle trip. Rabbi Yosef and Estie Orenstein, who direct the Friendship Circle, led the trip. Tickets were free to the Friendship Circle families. Kosher food was available, and there were fireworks after the game.

Valley Chabad Friendship Circle, based in Woodcliff Lake, provides friendship and support to children and teens with special needs and their families in the Pascack Valley and Saddle River communities. Offerings include friends-at-home programs, sports league, baking, dance, animal therapy, and holiday programs. To join the Friendship Circle or to enroll a teen to volunteer, email Estie Orenstein at fc@valleychabad.org or call her at (201) 749-2890.
