Temple Emeth in Teaneck continues “Waiting for A Miracle: The importance of recognizing miracles in our times” with Cantor Ellen Tilem. The discussion is on Judaism’s understanding of miracles, both in ancient times and today, and on whether our connection with God depends on us recognizing or appreciating miracles. Participants will share stories of personal miracles and the impact they have had on their lives. The class on Tuesdays March 2 and March 9 is at 7:30 p.m. At 8:40, Rabbi David Bockman continues “The Word of God — Between the Divine and Human Realms.” The class looks at the three Abrahamic religions — Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, and at some of each one’s sacred texts and oral traditions. The course will be taught in English and no subject background is required.
