‘Simpsons’ writer to speak Tenafly

Mike Reiss, the longest-serving writer and producer of “The Simpsons,” will be at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly on Saturday, December 1, at 8 p.m. The evening, in celebration of the Simpsons’ 30th anniversary, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most popular shows in television history. Mr. Reiss will tell stories, scandals, and gossip about the series’ creation. Later, Mr. Reiss, who has won four Emmys, will sign his new memoir, “Springfield Confidential.” Tickets are $20 for center members, $25 for nonmembers. Buy them online at www.jccotp.org/adults.
