Congregation Beth Aaron in Teaneck is honoring its rabbi, Larry Rothwachs, as chatan Torah, and congregants Daniel Chazin and Rabbi Benjamin Yablok, respectively, as chatan Breishit and Kol Ha-Ne’arim, on Simchat Torah.

Rabbi Rothwachs will be honored for the many things he does on behalf of the synagogue.

Daniel Chazin became involved in the shul in 1972, soon after it was formed. Over the past 43 years, he has been a board member, secretary, and gabbai, and he assists the synagogue administrator. He was scoutmaster of shomer Shabbat Boy Scout Troop 226 for almost 40 years and volunteers for Shearit ha-Plate of Bergen County.

Rabbi Benjamin Yablok, a congregant for 23 years, leads the congregation in prayer, gives a visual presentation on Tisha B’Av, and also delivers shiurium. He worked at Camp Moshava, was principal of the Scranton Hebrew Day School, and retired as associate principal at the Manhattan Day School.
