Ayelet Zurer, star of “Shtisel,” “Munich,” and “Angels & Demons,” will host “The Bessies,” AMIT’s Academy Awards, with special appearances by Mayim Bialik and musical superstar Idan Raichel. Writer and producer Nancy Spielberg will be a guest judge for the student films. The awards are named after AMIT founder Bessie Gotsfeld. The organization’s virtual gala will showcase four student filmmakers whose work was selected from more than 50 films AMIT students made this year. AMIT also will honor several supporters from around the country.
