SHIP counselors available to help with Medicare open enrollment
Medicare open enrollment is from now through December 7. The Jewish Family Service of MetroWest sponsors SHIP in Essex County. SHIP is a statewide program that provides free, objective, and confidential help to New Jersey Medicare beneficiaries who have problems with, or questions about Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Part D, and Long-Term Care Insurance Services. Services are provided via telephone, on virtual platforms, or through virtual public education presentations.
SHIP is sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, supported in part by a grant from the U.S. Administration for Community Living of the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
If you live in Essex County and have questions about your Medicare options, call the SHIP helpline at (973) 637-1717. For information on JFS MetroWest’s inclusive programming, call (973) 765-9050 or go to jfsmetrowest.org.
