Give me a break, please. What kind of religious law is it that prevents one Jew from reporting on the criminal behavior of someone because he or she is a Jew? (Sept. 16.)
There is a time and place for such a law, such as in Nazi Germany. I would hope no one would implicate another Jew regardless of offense.
Nevertheless, we live in the United States, a democracy ruled by laws. For someone to “hide” behind some religious edict meant for vastly different circumstances is shameful and makes a mockery of Judaism and our way of life.
The more I read such articles, the more I cherish my atheism.
