My first thought on hearing about the Miss Holocaust Survivor Beauty Contest was the same as yours (Editorial, July 6) – that it was unseemly. But on consideration, why the heck not? These women have gone through hell and came out beautiful. They are showing the world, in the words of the immortal mehitabel, that there’s life in the old girl yet.

You got something against women over 70 shaking their booty?
