Last week, more than 50 seniors met to hear Steven Bell, a musical director at the Bergen County Players and Teaneck High School. Mr. Bell told stories about experiences he’d had directing and choreographing musical productions. He also showed clips from Bergen County Players productions of “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “The King and I,” and “The Music Man,” including performances by Broadway star Rob McClure (“Beetlejuice” and “Mrs. Doubtfire”). Special guest actor Nancy Price Feldman performed a scene while Mr. Bell directed her performance so the audience could appreciate the dynamic between a director and an actor. A hot kosher catered lunch followed the program at Temple Beth Sholom in Fair Lawn that was hosted jointly by JCC of Northern NJ and Hadassah of Northern NJ.

JCC of Northern NJ’s Senior programming is a beneficiary of Jewish Federation of Northern NJ and Bergen County Division of Senior Services.
