See Nepal for yourself
Last August, we brought you the story of Rabbi Micha Odenheimer, whose organization, Tevel b’Tzedek, fights poverty in Nepal with help from Israeli and diaspora Jewish volunteers.
Now, Tevel b’Tzedek is offering “a journey of tikkun olam in the Himalayas,” a 10-day trip to Nepal, led by Rabbi Odenheimer and Yossi Klein Halevi, who wrote our article — as well as many other things, including the award-winning book “Like Dreamers.”
The trip ranges from Kathmandu to remote villages reached only by dirt roads. It’s a chance to discover the culture of Nepal, delve into the deep connections between Judaism and global social justice, experience Jewish and Eastern spirituality, and ponder Israel’s place in a changing world.
The trip starts on September 4 and costs $2,500, excluding international air fare. For more information, email office@tevelbtzedek.org or download the PDF flyer.
