Rockland museum holds ribbon cutting and honors local survivors

Celebrate the virtual ribbon cutting of Rockland’s new museum and educational space at the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education. The program begins on Sunday, May 23, at 3:50 p.m.; a prerecorded concert will follow.

Gertrude “Trudy” Album, Bruria Bodek-Falik, George Lindenblatt, Joyce Mizrachi, Stanley and the late Tamara Reich, Charles Srebnik, and Dan Wiko, all Holocaust survivors from Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, and Ulster counties, will be honored. The survivors worked with professional songwriters to create songs about their lives or their thoughts. The program is sponsored by Jewish Federations of North America.

For more information about the concert, call Paula Blumenau at (845) 341-1173, ext. 305, or email her at pblumenau@jfsorange.org. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
